A Bit About Me
For about ten years, I have dedicated myself to all things journalism and digital media. I have experience in photography, AP style writing, copy editing, speaking on-air to a large audience and audio editing – if you think it, I'm 99.9% sure I've done it. As I grew up, I was always told to "try something new", and that's the philosophy I stick to every single day. Even if I don't know how to work something right away, I'm always willing to learn. I appreciate all the opportunities that the journalism field has given me, and I'd love to continue down that path.

As the program director, I helped promote the campus media outlet to a student body of 38,000+ and online to potential listeners worldwide, as well as implemented a consistent on-air presence. During my time, I trained and guided around 70 DJs. I also worked with other departments to push out new content weekly, whether that was new music or breaking news. This helped with the on-air presence as well as getting to interview prominent local bands and community members in real time.
I was responsible for writing 3 articles a week for multiple HVAC companies in nine states. During my time, I researched the area I was writing for, the topic I was writing about, and worked with SEO to ensure the article would be accessible. In all, I wrote 19 articles and learned to adapt outside of my typical journalistic style of writing.
Created social media content for client to use on Twitter and Instagram, along with monthly analytics reports, as part of the Advanced Social Media and Analytics course at Texas State University. I used analytics data to develop client portfolio, addressing client strengths and areas for growth.
